The PolySense team has just published a new article on Analytical Chemistry journal reporting on the realization of a highly sensitive sensor for detection of carbon monoxide (CO) in sulfur hexafluoride (SF6). A novel custom T-shaped quartz tuning fork (QTF) with grooved prongs operating at 8 kHz has been implemented. A minimum detection limit of 10 ppb at 10 s of integration time was achieved and a sensor response time of ~ 3 minutes was measured. The following link provide access to the article.
