The PolySense team has just published a new article on Applied Physics Review journal (Impact Factor 19.162) reporting on the performance of a custom quartz tuning fork used as a sensitive and broadband infrared photodetector for absorption spectroscopy. A spectrally flat responsivity of ~2.2 kV/W in the spectral range 1.65 µm-10.34 µm was demonstrated, corresponding to a noise-equivalent power of 1.5 nW/√Hz, without employing any thermoelectrical cooling systems.
